​Mendo-Lake Singers
About Us
Mendo-Lake Singers is a membership organization of female singers, who meet regularly to practice, perform, socialize, sing and have fun. We currently have about 10 singers in our chorus of all ages, all walks of life, and from all parts of Lake County as well as Ukiah.
Performance
The main purpose of Mendo-Lake Singers is to share our music and sing for our community. We enjoy singing in our community, and can be heard throughout the year singing for civic and charitable organizations, private groups, churches, community events, and fundraisers. We also entertain by putting on our own musical events each year for the community, our friends, and families.

Education
In addition to sharing our music with others, another great passion of ours is learning more about the art of
a cappella singing. Vocal instruction is a regular part of our weekly rehearsals, and is an important component of the chorus experience. We also get coaching from experts in the art of barbershop music who help us improve our vocal skills and our performance skills.

Competition
Competitions are a special time for quartets and choruses to come together to sing for each other, and get some constructive feedback from a panel of judges. Mendo-Lake Singers often participates in the Region 12 chorus competition which is held in Reno, Nevada in the spring of the year.
The winners of regional competitions in both quartet and chorus categories participate in an International Competition, which is held in the fall of the year, at various locations throughout the United States.
Quartets
Most choruses have members who form their own vocal quartets in addition to singing with the chorus. Mendo-Lake Singers is proud to support our quartet OpporTUNEity!
